Discovery of Aquio

The drilling of the exploration well Aquio X1, in the foothills of the Camiri area, has been extremely difficult. After 18 months of drilling and 6 side-tracks, we had still not found the reservoir and in case of no discovery, the block was lost at the end of April 2011. We eventually encountered the reservoir mid-April, materialized by the gas flare, and we invited the President Evo Morales on 27 April to hand-out the Declaration of Commerciality...a few days before the end of license.
